450C chain replacement

Post by jsal » Tue Dec 16, 2014 6:42 am

Going to be removing track chain it needs new pins and bushings. wondering if replacement with after market chain is less expensive than having p&b replacement
any input would be appreciated

New chain may not be cheaper, but might be awfully close to the cost of new pins and bushings.

Jsal, if you don't mind me asking who did you end up buying your undercarriage parts thru? That pricing seems pretty good. My 420 is currently sitting in the woods overnight with a thrown track desperately needing a 350 undercarriage upgrade....

Hey Paul, it wasn't too bad getting the track back on about 2 hours worth. Now to deal with a leaking hydraulic cylinder. I think I heard someone say there is no such thing as a cheap crawler! I think Stan Disbrow was on to something.... :D

Tom: Yeah, Stan has it right; if it's not money, it's time invested. But when they run, they sure beat a pick and shovel. Good luck with your new challenge. My crawler has its own quirks and challenges which keeps me on my toes.
