hard start 350

Post by mikeintn » Thu Jan 01, 2015 8:22 pm

My 350 B diesel dozer seems to lose its prime, if you start it back the next day it will start ok, but after that the longer it sets the longer I have to crank on it and use starting fluid, anyone have an ideal what to look for? Thanks
Michael

Hey Mike, one thing I ran into with mine was that the vent tube was plugged with gunk creating a vacuum on the tank, hence pulling the fuel back from the engine after shutdown. see if you can send a wire down the vent tube and it should come out the bottom rear of the tank....good luck
