What is a jd 350b engine worth
What is a jd 350b engine worth
just trying to get a value of a running 350b engine. I currently don't need but would not mind having a backup. The owner states that the engine runs but burns a little oil. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi,
The straight 350 came in both gas and diesel. About the time of the B series, gas had gone away. So, I don't think any B series were made gas.
Not that this helps the OP, as I don't know what either one might be worth these days....

a bit of a tangent... but any thoughts to gas vs diesel as far as power? I know the diesel is harder starting and usually longer lasting. I have a 350 straight and food for thought.... if I find a decent diesel engine for a good price, how hard would the conversion be? (assuming lift pump and secondary were included of course)
John Deere 420C, John Deere 350 straight with Gafner loader, John Deere 4020
I don't know about the conversion, but my hunch would be that it is harder to swap the engine than it would be to clean, detail, and sell your dozer and purchase a comparable diesel model. Probably be a bit cheaper too.lurch85 wrote:a bit of a tangent... but any thoughts to gas vs diesel as far as power? I know the diesel is harder starting and usually longer lasting.
