What's everyone's thoughts on the rotella t? Anyone use it in they older 350s and 450s with good results? I was gonna use that with some Lucas engine additive? I read an older post on here about a gentleman the didn't recommend it says it caused his rings to stick in his 350b and to use a straight 30or40 weight ? What's everyone's take ??

if you do a search for Rotella in the previous threads on this board, you will see that a number of people use it for engine oil but also that new Rotella is not as good as the old stuff due to changes in formulation that removed ZDDP. Read this thread towards the bottom (after the fuel discussions):

http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/ ... ht=rotella

FYI, I don't think I personally woulf use a straight weight oil in a 350 or 450 engine- I think most discussions about straight weight oils were for 2 cylinder Detroit diesel engines.

I have been using Rotella T6 synthetic 5-40 the last few years. Cranks easy in the cold but now I wonder what else it might be doing.

Don't forget your power steering reservoir under hood. Pop off hood, Round canister size of coffee can fill line inside 1/2 in or so down from top.
