JD 350 Identification
JD 350 Identification
I bought my Dads 350 a few years ago, and there has been some debate over exactly what year and model I have. The serial number by the seat is T4F3D 100259T, Where should I look to find more info? Thanks for your help Rick

Hi,
There are serial number lists in the FAQ section. Also, the magic decoder pin is there as well. To save you having to wade thru that section, I have decoded it for you:
T tractor
4 JD350
F Crawler Dozer
3 Diesel
D Directional Reverser
100259 Serial Number, made in 1969
T Dubuque Iowa Plant

Quick and dirty 350 model identification
If the reverser control is on the LH side of the instrument cluster it is most likely a straight 350.
If the reverser control is mounted on the battery box and there are 2 small hydraulic cylinders under the seat it is most likely a 350B
If the reverser control is on the battery box and there is hydraulic manifold under the seat mounted on top of the transmission with 2 valve actuators sticking out the front that are attached to the steering linkage it is most likely a 350C.
There are exceptions to everything but this will give you a fair idea with a quick look.

That serial number should be a 69 straight.
