Type and Serial Number

Post by cfenginr » Sat Apr 25, 2015 5:17 pm

Looking for some help identifying a new dozer. Chassis tag is:
T5F3D 041XXXT
If I understand this code correctly it identifies this as JD450 1966 model. The confusion is this appears to be a JD350 1966. It has a 3 cylinder engine. Am I mis-reading the code?
Thanks in advance for any help

looks like you have 69 450 dozer diesel with Directional Reverser

Thanks jtrichard, This link is what started this problem, based on this information its a 450, the problem is the machine physically looks like a 350, all attributes scream 350, but the chassis tag says its a 450. trying to rectify the discrepancy

Hi,

Well, 450s have 4 cyl engines and 350s have 3 cyl. So, sounds like someone stuck a 450 tag on a 350.....
