My 350c loader lift arm piston is leaking I am unable to remove the end cap. I have repaired many pistons, but this one I can't break.
I removed the set screw, the notches in the cap are rounded I used a 3' pipe wrench with 6'pipe stood on it with no success.. does anyone have a trick to get them apart with out damaging the piston
thanks

The end cap is the part on the end of cylinder that holds everything together the piston rides through it.
Usually has an o ring seal and threads that screw into cylinder end. This cap must be removed in order to get the piston out.

I think he is talking about the Gland nut on the end of the cylinder head. Most of the ones I have had to take off, I had to heat the Gland to melt the Locktite that Deere so graciously installs on these from the factory. Try some heat and see if it doesn't loosen this up. It should ooze Red Locktite as you heat it. Then while it is still hot see if it will turn.

Check this it gives you the nomenclature of a hydraulic cylinder http://lestoilesroses.net/wp-content/up ... -chart.png

No problem it just makes it easier when asking questions if every one is kinda on the same page.... From your question i thought you were talking about the gland/rod guide ( i haven't worked on a 350 did not know about the loctite ..Glad to see Leonard back) ... while looking for that pic i found many different names for the parts Rod/Shaft/Piston rod....Gland/Retainer/ECT..... I used that pic because it was the simplest and most common terminology I have seen/used
