Hi,
E meant Economy. It was a lower priced base machine at the time. Well, until options were added like your wide tracks.
It mainly meant a lower power engine vs. the 350C.

Ok. They changed what it meant on the C vs the B. See the post below. On the B, there was an engine option where the 350B wound up with a few more ponies. Then, the original HP could be had in the BE for a few dollars less. Or, in reality, they upped the HP and the price of the B yet one could get a BE for what the B used to cost.
On the straight 350 and the 350B, one bought a crawler and then an attachment loader or bulldozer, which had their own model and serial numbers. I just carried that thinking over to the 350C, and obviously that changed.
