Could anyone comment on using a 10-ft box scraper behind a John Deere 350B loader. I don't want to overload the crawler. But at the same time, if I can go to a 12' box scraper I would like too. At the same time if I need to go down to an 8 ft I would do that. I'll be using it mostly in loose soil where the stumps have been dug up. I also have the aux hydraulic couplers installed for the lift wheels.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
8' 10'. Or 12' what should I buy?

Re: Pull type box scraper and 350b
I'm not sure exactly what you are wanting to do. Is this like a three point box blade you pull behind an Ag tractor? The first thing you need to consider is, your 350 is only 42 to 46 horse power on a good day. If this is a box blade then I wouldn't want one any wider than about six feet. Some of these other guys may have a different opinion but that's what I would look at.

I've pulled an 8' behind 2 cylinder crawlers a great deal, in both snow and dirt with no problem. 350 will pull a 10 foot easily. As far as a 12 foot, probably same song, just depends on how fast you want to pull, and how much dirt you want to carry.
