79 450C 3rd and 4th not moving.

I have 1st and 2nd low/high/reverse works fine. When I put it in 3 or 4th the machine wants to go but its like im stuck against something.

How is the free play for the engine clutch? The engine clutch slipping will show up in the higher gears first.
