1976 john deer 350c relife 1994 746 total hours,, right side not steering

Post by Latts424 » Tue Apr 28, 2026 11:04 pm

I have a 350c, left operates fine, right side turns but slow, I believe it is the spring and seal in the steering valve,
Does anybody have any other ideas?
Thank you

Okay so do you feel any resistance at all when you pull the right side lever? I would check the adjustment on your brake band before I would do anything else. Your spring inside the steering valve doesn't really do that much since the plunger is hooked directly to the steering lever itself. I would suspect either the brake band has broken over center as in badly out of adjustment or even worse you could have a badly worn or broken brake band.
