350B steering

Post by rhbarsto » Mon May 04, 2026 4:20 pm

Bought 350b last fall. Good bottom, runs great steered ok but not good. Going through it found left brake, clutch housing full of water, Also the power steering cylinder on that side was shot. Got the cylinder out, rebuilt and back in(not a fun job) put away for the winter. Quit snowing here Sat so I got it out, adjusted brakes and clutch to specs on both sides and tried to run it . Steers great to the left and stops when trying to steer right. Thinking the steering clutch is seized. Any way to free it up or something else wrong?

To turn right the left steering clutch has to drive the crawler. Sounds like the left side has an issue since you say the crawler stops when you try to turn right. I would expect a clutch seized together to keep trying to drive. This sounds like adjustment, something broke, or somehow it has seized in the released position. Hopefully it is adjustment or linkage out of place.
