Source for 6-Way Blade Controls & Linkage
My '67 350 Straight has the 6305 6-way blade and the controls and linkage are just worn out. I know I can rebuild it, but I'd prefer to source something new or good used so I can install it and set my original stuff off to the side so I can repair when I have spare time.
For the new parts, I checked with John Deere and the replacement kit is no longer available. The dealer also checked some of the part numbers for the main components and these are no longer available, either.
Does anyone know if their local dealer may have some parts sitting on the shelf? I'm thinking this may be a possibility, but not sure if these would show up when my dealer checked.
Or does anyone have a good used complete unit they would sell? Or maybe some NOS/new parts so I'm not having to rebuild the entire thing?
Thanks,
Scott

Your dealer should be able to do a system search if he didn't. My Ag dealer found some NLA parts for me at another dealer by doing a system search. My understanding is the Construction and Forestry dealers can do the same.
Have you called and talked to Lavoy to see if he has any thoughts?

I messaged Lavoy about this already.
I can ask the dealer to do a system search.
Thanks,
Scott

Even if you find one, it will be well past $1500.

I found one for $500 + shipping that looks like it's in good shape. Hope to have it in the next week or so.
Thanks

I was referring to new, sorry.
Any used one is likely not any better than the one you have, and will need rebuild.

New is no longer available, unless someone's got one gathering dust on a shelf somewhere.
The one I'm buying is said to be useable as-is, but we'll see.
Thanks

Bulltpruf, do you want any help rebuilding yours after taking it off? i might redo my spare at the same time so maybe economies of scale?

That would be excellent! Your shop is better equipped to do this kind of work than mine is.dabear3428 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2026 12:45 pmBulltpruf, do you want any help rebuilding yours after taking it off? i might redo my spare at the same time so maybe economies of scale?

Re: Source for 6-Way Blade Controls & Linkage
Well, I got my "new" linkage in a few days ago. If I have enough time this weekend, I'll remove the old and swap in the new one.dabear3428 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2026 12:43 pmyes but yours is better organized, when you get to it we can see what can be done.bulletpruf wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2026 12:11 pmThat would be excellent! Re: Source for 6-Way Blade Controls & Linkage
It's tighter, but not like brand new. Looks like it has a few new roll pins installed, and a few washers added here and there.
