450 Loader track adjustment
Thanks for all of the input. I think, for now, ill leave it alone. I haven't had any track jumping issues (yet). At the rate I use it, it may be a few years or more before it really becomes an issue. The machine is basically a toy, not a money maker. That makes it difficult to justify, especially to the wife.

Hi,
And, on a 450, the parts are likely to still be available whenever you decide it is time. Unlike some of the older machines.

I just bought a brand new full undercarriage (ITR Brand) for my 450C loader and am in the process of installing it. New chains - $1,652, triple grouser shoes - $1,293, track bolts and nuts - $266, sprockets $112 each, front idlers - $489 each. I am almost done putting all the new stuff on and it's been easier that I anticipated. I have a concrete floor and overhead hoist and that has been a lifesaver!JD450tl wrote:Just out of curiosity, what would a set of chains run for a 450?

Been there, done that, meaning having to make a choice. Getting someone's actual experience to consider is very useful. Maybe at some point in time it may make sense to spring for the better undercarriage, but knowing that you can expect yours to hang together for your needs is reassuring. That said, as you know, there are no guarantees. Best wishes. Paul

I'm sure there are guys on here that cringe at the thought of just "making it work" but, I look at it as, its still one less machine in the junkyards. It is surprising the amount of power these little loaders have
