JD350- How do you remove starter motor
Ken do you know what that gear reduction starter was originally made for it fits in there nice .I was looking at my 350D and will probably need a starter soon .As it is a wide track I like to have the battery and starter on it in good shape .I think the theory is you can get to places with that Deere that you can hardly get a boost battery to. My starter is original and is getting slow so I should swap it out and a gear reduction starter that is a good idea .We used the starter for a 3020 in the old 450sand 550s as it had more power than original and started the dozers a lot nicer in cold weather but I haven't done much with my 350 s when it comes to repair .My wide track will never get wore out at this rate It got about 100 hours on it last year -Digitup.

Get out the cutting torch
On our own personal machine that we work, we will cut a hole in the frame approximately 6 inches in diameter, the way it should have been done from the factory. We have never had an issue with the frame twisting or buckling.
Our machines are for work so we don't worry about devaluing their collectibility.
