Need help! No start JD350 dozer
I have an older JD350 dozer that I havent started in a a few years. Today I wanted to try and start it so I put new batteries in it and fill diesel. It cranks but wouldnt start. We pumped the fuel pump and bled out any air we can. We got fuel up to the injector pump going in but nothing coming out to the injectors. If I spray a lil starter fluid into the intake it will fire up but then stall out. Any other suggestions on what to do from here? Bad injector pump? Thanks
There are a lot of threads discussing this type of issue if you search (and I would recommend you do so), but there are the main issues that tend to pop up with a fuel to pump but not injectors issue (not in any particular order):
1) Injection pump to tank return line and/or vent clogged
2) Stuck injection pump metering valve
3) Destroyed governor weight retainer pellethane ring (search for "mouse turds" in archived threads)
Use this thread as a starting point- even though for a 450 the issues are similar. The big difference in diagnosing and working on injection pump issues is not whether a 350 or 450 but whether a "C" or "D" pump.

350 no start
If you have not found the starting problem by now . the first place I look is the wire going to the injection pump for the fuel solenoid turn the key on and pull the wire off check for voltage no voltage no fuel.

Hi,
My old 350 was all-mechanical fuel control. One day, it wouldn't start. Because I forgot to lift the throttle lever. Everything else was elelctric fuel cut-off. I flattened the battery before I had the 'Oh! Moment of Remembrence'......
