JD 450B dozer steering clutch assembly

while taking the top cover off the left steering clutch for repair and finding out it was just the adjusting bolt stripping ( didn't need to take top cover off) we found the linkage return spring missing and when checking the other side it was also missing would this have been done intentionally or was there a reason behind removing them

HOOKED END OF SPRINGS ROT AWAY AND FALL IN TO CLUTCH CASE
