Pardon my ignorance, but how do I remove the pump coupler? It seems there should be a handle but its missing. I was tired by the time I got to that point and it needs power washing anyways before I dig into it. Briefly looking over it I could not figure out how it releases.

Yes you are missing the lever #T21136. Being that you have the radiator removed it is not a problem. Spray some lubricant on the splined shaft
Than use a pry bar to slide the sleeve forward.It should move with little effort.
You need an opening wide enough to get the belt through.
That disconnect was a very handy part on the straights that was discontinued on the later models.While you have it open you should replace the lever .Next time you need to change the belt you will be glad you did.
