brake question
okay so I took the covers off my 350 loader to adjust my clutches and brakes. On the right side (which has been working fine) there was light condensation on pads. ON the left side there was grease, yes grease! on the brake, not oil, actual grease, and it was on a pin on up as if someone had coated the brake with grease. I reach thru and skimmed my finger across the brake and brought up a finger of grease. Now the left side was my problem side, I always had to pull all the way back to get a turn after warming up.. I adjusted both sides and they are both working fine now, but the left one still has a wrrrrrrr noise sometimes, and you have to pull-release-pull-release-pull to get a turn sometime. now if you are going straight or backwards and want minimal turns they both work as they are supposed to pull back 4 inches, turn.. any idea on the grease??
Most likely someone's good idea which is a bad idea. Only good fix is pull the final, clean everything up that can be cleaned, replace brake band or frictions that have grease or oil on them.

now that's not good. According to the previous owner he has never been inside the housing..he had all new clutches and a final gear put in at JD dealership.. is it possible their mechanic did this? the work was done in 2009, and according to previous own he has never adjusted anything.. they did over 10 grand worth of work? what do I do ? will they fix it? I would say probably not, but whats your opinion

Hi,
Hmmmm. 2009. Previous owner. I would hazard a guess they will not have any interest in the situation at this point....

yeah me too Stan..btw I was wrong, the funny thing is the side with the grease is the side that drives perfectly, no noise, clutches fine brakes fine..its the left that's a mess..that wrrrrrring noise when your turning..it starts out fine then seems after it warms up it goes to pieces...no worries now anyways I just blew a hose on the lift arm.
