450 transmission oil dip stick?

Post by lti » Sat Sep 12, 2015 8:47 pm

Does that dip stick under seat on a 450 HLR Transmission check the ring gear, speed change, and range change compartments.or Iam I missing another check, have the owners and service manual and it looks like the one stick takes care of all 3 compartments. Sometimes these books for me arent the best. Thanks.

It's for everything. What year/model? reason for asking is whether it has final dry clutch/wet clutch common sump change or not..

Its an old plain and a "pain" 450. The steering clutches are dry had one out rusted up. The "final drives, I bleieve ,have checked them are seperate they have 90-140 have check and fill plugs each side. The loader pump up front of radiator has its own resiverior beside seat. The power steering pump has its own 2 quart canister above engine by radiator.
