450 track question
How hard would tracks be on some older cement in a cattle lot. Need to get some cleaned and hauled, so skid loader will have it alittle easier. The tracks on the loader are just smooth pads not putting hardly any down preasure on bucket just enough to peal off manure its dry from cement. So from one end to other track is on cement. Always thought tracks spread weight out well. but getting several different opions here on the farm. thanks

Hi,
Loader tracks not so bad, as they do not have grousers. Older concrete might be pithy on top. So, it might tend to crumble. Don't steer on it if you can help it. Steering any track digs up whatever it is on. If you have to steer, do it in short bursts, letting the machine move some to spread out the area where the ends of the track dig in the worst.
