Advice for aftermarket undercarriage parts in Northwest?

Post by Idaho jarhead » Thu Jan 21, 2016 1:03 pm

Howdy again, thanks to everyone who has offered advice on purchasing decision on a jd 450 dozer with winch. It's looking like I may end up with the c model that has less UC left so I'm looking for any input on best places to look for aftermarket undercarriage parts. I guess I'll start collecting them now so I don't need to come up with 5-8000 all at once. I know there's lots of places on the interweb, but I guess I was hoping to not spend weeks wading thru them all if someone had a recommendation for somewhere with knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices. Thanks.

I think it was Oregon but not sure,, they were Korean product, ITR or KUT,
I have bought and used ITR and found it to be quite good,, But stay away from the Chinese garbage... Mark

Until recently Berco made undercarraige parts for Deere. I think they had a "falling-out". I agree the Korean manufactures are good, also. Bruce

Track Parts Idaho

Post by Jack-the-Ripper » Sat Jan 23, 2016 10:24 pm

When I lived in Sandpoint, ID I bought three sets of track rails, two for my 450s and one for my Komatsu excavator, from "Trackman" in Spokane, 713 N, Cook, 509 535-1661

They also got rollers, bearings, cylinder seals, sprockets, etc. for me, all at reasonable prices with very friendly personal service. They even delivered some parts (90 miles one way) and helped me troubleshoot some hydraulic control issues for the Komatsu finding a very simple adjustment when the local tractor shop couldn't figure it out. They were my "go to" guys for 10 years.

I used the cheaper Korean or whatever rails, and swapped my own grouser pads to them. Maybe 8 years ago, I paid about $2800 per pair of track chains for the 450's.

I also found "Norcan Parts and Equpment," 9423 N Market St, Spokane 509 466-3566 very helpful for new and used parts.
