350B steering control shaft bushing

Post by eidolon » Wed Apr 13, 2016 6:33 am

while adjusting my steering controls, I have noticed that the main steering control shafts (AT31637 & 38) have a lot of slop in their movement (At least 1/4 inch). Obviously the inside bushing (PN M1638) is worn out. I think my steering control adjustment would be much improved if I could replace those. In the drawing, I notice there is a retainer clip on the end of the shaft but I haven't seen how to access it. also, is it possible to remove this shaft without tearing apart the whole steering clutch assembly?
