Hey guys, my JD450 had small fire and I had to replace a few things including starter, fuel pump, radiator, injector lines but thankfully engine is still working.
I havent rewired everything but I have the starter connnected and when I push start button it will turn on but will turn off shortly thereafter. I have checked air filter so I know its not that.
Any suggestions of what I need to be checking? Could unrepaired wiring be causing this?
Thank you all in advance

Hi,
There is a fuel flow solenoid on the injector pump. That is the only wire which would be involved. Might now be intermittent, the engine vibration causing power to drop to the solenoid.

This may be gunk in the fuel tank. If you are getting fuel to the pump and the filter it is not gunk in the tank. My straight 450 would run for a half hour then quit. I pulled the fuel line off from the fuel pump and no gravity feed fuel. I have been carrying a can of compressed air to blow back into the tank, that opens it up for another 30 minutes to sometimes the rest of the day. I dread pulling the tank and cleaning but it maybe the only way for me.
