hlr tranmission help

looking for a guy able to understand hlr tranmission on a jd450

no low speed
high and reverse works

Have you put a gage on it to see what the pressures were in each gear, high, low and reverse.

the pression still 180 psi on each gear....after the drop to 80 psi (accumulator)

y am pretty sure is on the hlr tranmission clutch low drum....

A little more detail would help. Did this happen all of a sudden, did you get it this way?

It may be the linkage. On mine I had to grind out the slot so it would go into low all the time. Still needs to be ground out further. your pressure for 2nd forward and reverse are good.

You need to get it into low forward and check the pressure to confirm. You can unhook the linkage from the handle to see if it goes into low.

Put the range (1,2,3,4) selector in neutral with the brakes on. You will be able to hear when you make direction change and/or a low/high change and see it on the gauge.
