9550 Backhoe on 350C loader. Valve sticks.

Post by Calgary Glenn » Fri May 20, 2016 11:39 am

Hello, I have a 9550 on a 350C crawler loader, My problem is the control valve for Left/Right swing sticks and I have to wiggle the level to find neutral.

When I got the unit I drained the hyd system, it was very dirty with crud from condensation. I cleaned the tank, filled with cheap hyd fluid and ran it and drained again and filled with JD fluid.

I am wondering if there could be crud suck in valve and how to clean it out.
If I have to replace valve does any one know if I could use a valve fron a 310/410? The JD online parts books are not clear. I may have luck finding a used value if I could identify which one it is.

Anyone's ideas for a soultion would be great.

Thanks

Glenn

I had a cracked valve segment on my 92 series hoe attachment on my 350 loader. No longer available from Deere but readily available from original manufacturer. Can't remember offhand if mine was Commercial or Custom valve company but the hydraulic shop I took it to had no trouble identifying and ordering it. About $320.00 16 years ago.

Deere Valves

Most loader hoe valves will be closed centre and you will need an open centre for your machine.

I can get my dad to look in the shed for a segment and very sure we have a few. I believe the valve segments are the same as those used in loader machines. You would just have to unbolt the valve stack and install.

I'm assuming you have your reverser working now.
