JD350B oil cooler pulled out of block

Post by stevenriley2001 » Tue Jul 19, 2016 11:09 am

Hi, new to the forum and fairly new to crawlers. bought a 350B a few months back, fresh motor rebuild, ran great. had a limb snake through the engine bay/makeshift guard I fabbed up. It latched onto the oil filter and somehow pulled the whole engine oil cooler, filter, and valve out of the block. Unfortunately I did not notice right away and drove another 50-70ft of so until the motor shut down. I'm hoping it was the low oil pressure switch that killed the machine. I'm pretty sure it still turns over freely. My question is, does anyone know how to put the "valve" back in the block? this is a 3.152 motor in a '73 model. I may need a new "valve" and have been researching the part number for the last week or so but have come up empty handed thus far. Really hoping the crank and cyclinders didn't sustain too much damage.
