450B power steering? and 6 way valve leaking

Post by jakebrey » Thu Aug 11, 2016 9:31 am

My 450B steering is not very good and the reservor for the power steering wont hold oil for very long. Also my 6 way blade control valve is leaking bad. Is there a rebuild kit or anything for these? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I rebuilt both power steering boosters last week because it would leak out all the oil in a day. You can get a seal kit for each side but beware the seal kits from john Deere after 2014 don't have vee packing T 24781. It seems that the kits that have all the seals/packing are made in Taiwan before 2014 and after 2014 their made in the USA but don't come with the packing for inside the valve but they both have AT27076 as the part number. In the instructions the kit works for the 450 and the 350 but the 350 doesn't use the seal in the valve. see if Lavoy sells the seal kit with all 7 parts in them.

after you rebuild the boosters and you get the air worked out of the system you can pull the levers with your pinky. :D
