What are the odds
Quick story--My father worked for J.D for 33 years in the Syracuse warehouse, well every so often things that didn't sell or had a damaged box they would put in a room and sell to employees at the highest bid. over the years he came home with a huge range of items. so last week he was carving out some drainage ditches and the blade stopped operating on our 350C (and it was down of coarse) so he backed down from the field to the workshop, called me to look at it - I pulled the pump and the splined coupling for hyd. pump stripped along with the splined pump shaft. I look up the pump part number ----1,031.00 for a matching pump.....my father looks at it for a min.----"hmmm...I think there is one of those pumps in a box in the old chicken coop" wouldn't you know he comes out with a new in the box pump- I thought "no "F-ing way!!!" local Deere dealer had the splined coupling in stock for 69.00....BOOOM back in action. I have told him over the years to get rid of this old stuff you will never use it... and he won't......guess he has the last laugh
