Track off drive sprocket on 450b can't get enough slack to m

Post by timredd9709@gmail.com » Fri Sep 16, 2016 8:35 am

Right track is off my 450 B loader and is wedged between the housing and drive sprocket I have removed the adjustment plug on the track tensioner but still don't have enough slack also it seems that there is no master pin.Is it possible to treat any pin as a master pin?If so what's the best way to remove this pin to split the track? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

need to place 2x4 or larger on sprocket then rotate sprocket to loosen chain should give plenty of slack they all have master pins sometime they are hard to find

How did you compress the adjuster? The first time mine threw the track I used an 8' pry bar to compress it ( or I thought i had). Once I used the bucket of the loader and a cut stick of firewood I was able to get another 3" out of the adjuster and that gave me the slack I needed to get it back on.

There is a master pin, there always is but I have yet to find one of mine. However, now that I know how to compress the adjuster I've never tried to separate mine again.
