Help- Need to move JD350 from Calif. to Oregon

Post by haljoe40 » Fri Oct 06, 2006 11:25 am

Howdy all,

My JD 350 crawler, 4 in one bucket & 3 point is at my parents Near Sacramento CA and I want to have it moved to Eugene OR.

I'm having a hard time finding some one to move it, as it's a little too big for standard pickup but too small for a big rig. If I hit the LOTTO I'd buy a 1 ton Dodge and a goose neck trailer, oh well.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks, -Hal

It's not too small for a tractor trailer, but the cost to move may be beyond your means.

I don't know the exact weight of your setup, but would guess a 1 ton truck with a heavy duty gooseneck (dually tires) could move it at normal grades. I move my 2010 crawler with backhoe (very similar size crawler) with that setup. A 3/4 ton can even do it but is pushing the envelope.

However, I don't think that I would want to tow one in the mountains with a standard size truck, if you have to traverse any.

Have you tried any trucking companies out there? They're happy to give you a quote. My guess it that it would be a couple thousand.
