450b gauges

Post by Ossahatchee » Tue Feb 28, 2017 5:41 pm

I would like to say hello and thank you to all who operate and contribute to this site. I have gleaned for some time and have used the information in recently acquiring my first crawler (450b loader). I have ordered a set of manuals and am impatiently waiting for them to arrive.

I have searched here and elsewhere about gauges for the 450b but have found little information. Mine are currently not working and there are wires disconnected. Can anyone point me to a diagram for the gauge wiring for a 1974 450b loader? Not wanting to run it too much until I get them working.

The loader operates fine and the motor was completely overhauled just prior to the previous owner having a career ending stroke. It has set for a few years but operates and has no leaks and was "as advertised" unlike all of the others I looked at.

Hey! You can contact Jim Guarino (see below). He provided my wiring harnesses for my 450B and included wiring diagrams. He does outstanding work and should be able to help you.

Ossahatchee, i cant help you with your problem, but l am very familiar with your location, since l live in the metro suburbs of Shiloh, in Harris County. Good to have neighbors who have a common interest in JD Crawlers.

Thanks for the information. I have been trying to reply for two days but had to call an exterminator due to the debug. I have since received my manuals and have reconnected the gauge wiring as oer schematic. No luck. I will have to trace it out. Now I have a stuck track tensioner to deal with.

cdunn I live just South of you in what I call Cataullerslie Hall.
