Shift Pattern for 81 350C

Post by Jarrod Vandergrift » Sun Oct 08, 2006 6:41 pm

I am looking for the shift pattern of a 1981 350C JD dozer. I pushased a new knob for the shifter but it is for a dozer with a winch, is there a difference? Also, I was told that it should be stamped on the plate, no numbers stamped.

Thanks Jarrod

Jarrod If you get a chance find out what they were trying to sell you sounds like it was a nob for a winch leaver ? the replacement nob for the shifter usualy has no markings on it and the NOB that tried selling you that should have known that And the nob for the winch leaver also has no markings on it I think the original had the patern on it but the plates on newer Bs&Cs have no markings.Digitup.

shift pattern

A winch will make a difference, as those machines with a winch will have a reverse gear. Reverse is located straight ahead of 2nd gear. Machines without reverse dont have the slot on the bezel. Also my machine has the pattern on the shifter knob. The pattern should look kinda like below.
Hope this helps
