no power to left track

Post by Bill S » Fri Jul 07, 2017 7:53 am

Power to left track loss happened when pushing load and stalled track.
I had just adjusted brakes (after driving thru house lock)
added approx. 1 1/2 gal of aw 36 hyd oil to trans.
when pulling on left control leaver the track does stop ( when coasting)
stepping on brake (coasting down hill) tractor will free run - increasing pressure , right track stops.
* prior use left track engage would be intermittently snappy, but worked fine.
Any help suggestions would be appreciated!

I would help to know which crawler, but it sounds like steering clutch and brake adjustment, or repair.
No John Deere crawler that I know of uses straight hyd oil in the trans. My first thought would be to drain trans and put in correct fluid even though that is not part of the steering problem.
