350 engine runs after turning off key

My 350 strait was apart to repair the reverser (earlier post) and now I have it back together again. Started the engine to check for leaks and found the fuel filters dripping so I went to shut it down and the engine keeps running after turning off the key. The engine RPM drops a little but it ran for probably 45 to 60 seconds before it died. Any ideas where to start, injector pump was rebuilt several years ago (mouse turds in it), it was running fine before the reverser crashed. It did the same thing after tightening the filters. I'm sort of afraid to try starting it to check the reverser if it decides to run on after killing it.

Does yours have the electric solenoid shut off or mechanical shut off? If you have the electrical I might see if you've done something to mess up a ground (engine or wiring) when you pulled the reverser. Obviously if it's mechanical it could just be out of adjustment.

The gremlins came and the gremlins went. I unbolted the wire for the relay to check for stray voltage and reconnected it problem went away. It runs fine now, however my reverser pressures are low and I have a bad feeling the pump may have suffered some wear from the sheared shaft in the reverser. I'm going to try adding a couple shims to see what happens.
