450 steering clutch rebuild
so finally got the steering clutch out. What a job. the fiber discs do not appear to have much wear but the steels are rusted pretty bad on mostly one side. I have been using electrolisys to derust them. so a couple of questions , am I being completely stupid to attempt to reuse the discs? does anybody have the dimensions of the JD 264 gage that is used to set the finger height ? I have the dana spicer clutch on a 450 straight model . Also does anybody know what the clutch pack thickness is supposed to be when new ? Thanks for your input
