No, I don't know him. I'm also a machinist and a farmer. I would guess he works or worked in the Huntsville area or I would probably know him. I've always worked in the Tullahoma, Winchester area. How's your dozer coming along?

He gets most of his work from Huntsville area. He is actually an engineer, designs and builds custom intergration. At a stand still till I find some parts for my machine. Maybe the three of us can get together lunch or coffee when I am up there, I go to see him 4 or 5 times a year.

Yep, it's good food. One of my daughters has a degree in food nutrition and says it's a heart attack waiting to happen but it's good home cookin'

Talked to my buddy up your way yesterday. He said you have had as much water as we have and the Elk river was as high as he has seen it in 30 years. His farm borders it on the back side. Hope you are high and dry.

Hey Randy, I'm high enough but not dry by a long shot. Feeding the cows is the biggest problem I have. I usually roll bales down the hill but there's no gettin' on the hills now. Put a bale out this morning on some flat but very wet ground and it just made another loblolly in a few minutes. But it still beats a drought.

Randy, just saw on facebook that water is going over Eldad road. They are suggesting voluntary evacuations for folks that live near the Elk River. Hope your friend is doing ok. I've poured 12.5 inches of rain out of my rain gage since last Sunday. Lots of rain.

I spoke with him last night and so far he is ok. He got some horses stuck on a high place that turned into an Island, but managed to get them run off to high ground before it got too deep. The highest it has been on the farm was up to his pond dam beside his house and it was already up there yesterday, so it has come up more I am sure. Also they have the gates fully open now at Tim's Ford.
I hope all is well with you, just sit inside and pick a tune or two while the rain keeps time.

Are you getting dried out some where you can feed the cows or did that rain yesterday hit you too?
