450B track loader valve plumbing

Post by Labparamour » Sat Feb 23, 2019 11:01 am

Morning.
My machine had a hoe on it in a previous life. The return side of the loader valve body runs to a hose that's looped on top of the steering assist cylinders then back to the tank.
The images I find on the Deere parts site aren't real clear so, I was wondering if anyone had a diagram or pic of the plumbing arrangement?
I'll be moving/removing the looped section so I can pull and rebuild the steering cylinders.
I may omit or reroute the line when putting back together.
I don't have a selector valve.
Having hydraulics to the back might be nice for ripper or something later.

(I'm fighting with Flickr to get a non-"https" link to post pics of my set-up.)

Thanks,
Darryl

Your machine has a power beyond valve that supplies high pressure oil to the hoe and then returns it to the tank. The supply and return lines must remained hooked together or will blow up your pump. If you want to remove the lines you will need to remove the power beyond fitting on the valve and install a plug. Don’t lose the power beyond valve, they are hard to get in the aftermarket and expensive at a deere dealer.

Thank you for the information. I’ll look at the Deere diagram for the valve body.
My plan had been to keep the circuit but just make a cleaner/shorter section to loop back to the return side.
If fairly straight forward, it may be that removing the “power beyond” would be cleaner still.
I appreciate your help and I’ll update later what I’ve done.
