Oil cooler leak on 350B

Post by cjman1977 » Fri Apr 26, 2019 2:25 pm

The oil cooler is leaking between the cooler and the block. Is there a special gasket or is it just an O ring that seals it? In the parts manual it calls it packing. Just trying to get some info or some parts BEFORE I take it apart. Anyone got experience in this matter?

Thanks
Bennett

I believe you are referring to the engine oil cooler the engine oil filter mounts on. If so the parts manual calls the seal between it and the block a washer, part number R70956. It might be the same as the oil filter gasket but, I would get it, by the part number, from JD rather than risk an engine with the wrong material or a bad fit. You can use the on line parts manual at https://jdparts.deere.com/servlet/com.d ... anguage=19 to check it out.
