JD350C dozer

I was dozing sandy soil,(6-way blade), everything working, no hydraulic leaks, and 'bam' no hydraulics. Added more hydraulic fluid to the tank but it made no difference. I did not check the pump pressure hose to see if there was pressure from the pump. Lost pressure instantly...no weak response, or jittery response...just dead hydraulics. Solution?

Welcome to the forum chumley,

Check the drive between the pump and engine crankshaft. If something happened to it, hydraulic loss could be quick and complete. Those have been known to strip out or otherwise fail.

Your question should be on the late model crawlers board for best exposure. Lavoy may move it over when he see this post.

Not sure on a 350C but, on the 350B, there's a disconnect lever between the crankshaft and the hydraulic pump at the front of the engine. Perhaps it worked itself into the disconnect position.

350C should be the straight splined drive shaft and splined pump shaft. Hub bolted to crank is internal spline as is the coupling between the drive shaft and pump shaft. There are snap rings that keep the shaft centered in the hub and coupling. Should not be a disconnect like used on the earlier models.
