Bristol Wrench

Post by ktreadway » Mon May 20, 2019 4:41 pm

Going to order a Bristol wrench to rebuild my injector pump and is the correct size 0.48 6 spline? Can't seem to find that info anywhere. Must be top secret. Lol

Just asking this as we don't have any knowledge of your background working on injection system components. What is wrong with your injection pump? Do you have the facilities to check and calibrate it?

Just have to take it down and replace the flex ring with the upgraded replacement. It's coming apart and plugging the return line. I have good knowledge of working on equipment. Just need to know the proper wrench size.

I'll go for the 0.48 and hope it's right I guess.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner.

Go here https://bristolwrench.com/product/splin ... -s-291-6l/

It will show you the size. I bought a S-291-6 and a S291-6L Fro, www.mgs4u.com 770-973-6251

Bought all my parts from US Diesel 817-485-6422. Suggest you get multiple Shaft seals in case you turn one inside out on the install.

Thank you very much for the info. I was thinking 0.291 was correct but now I'm sure.

Complete success on the injection pump rebuild. Running much better without all the bits of the flex ring floating around. Even lucked out on the umbrella seals no problem. Was a little apprehensive at first but it wasn't really that complicated.
