1010 blade on a 350

Post by Jason37756 » Mon Jul 01, 2019 8:40 pm

Had a friend of mine make the observation that my '68 350 has a 1010 blade on it. I had never thought about it because it seems like all old equipment was made with different parts.

Anyway I looked at several pictures on the net and found that my blade and lift arms looks exactly like a 1010.

Anybody have any knowledge of interchangeability ($25 word) between these units?

Jason

Time, skill, and money can be key factors in interchangeability. Some may directly bolt up, other members may tell you just which ones. Many blade set ups look the same, and over the years many have been mounted on machines the factory didn't use that model on. Some of the blade models the factory installed on 1010s were: 76, 610, 612, 616, and 624. The 350 and 350B show blade models 6300, 6305, and 6310. You can study those in the parts catalogs if you want. Can you find the model/serial number tag on your blade frame? That is the best way to confirm which one it is.

I looked for the numbers today and could not find them. Where might they be located?

Thanks

Jason

I will say I am not sure. I would look on the fixed parts of the dozer blade frame. I expect it would be a metal tag riveted on.

I don't know that I have ever noted in your posts what type your blade is. Inside mount ? 6 way, manual or hydraulic tilt and angle? Outside mount? tilt and or angle? manual or hydraulic on the tilt and angle if equipped?

Inside mount with a straight blade. It is equipped with manual tilt and manual angle.

I didn't notice a metal tag anywhere. I'll check again.

Thanks

Ok, for your blade look for 6300 bulldozer blade in the parts catalog, I think that is what you have. then look at a 610 which is for the 1010 and a 620 which is for a 2010. All look similar. I expect yours is the 6300 that was original equipment for a 350.

I am reasonably sure they do not interchange, so as has been stated, I would guess it is the correct blade.
