Electrical phenomenon on my JD 450C
Ok, this is weird: I am working on fixing and repairing stuff on my new old JD 450C and I find the voltage regulator is completely disconnected! It is present, but not hooked up. In fact, a LOT of wiring is simply gone, switches not hooked to anything. I got a lot to do...
It runs like a scalded dog, so whatever is done seems to be okay for the moment.
Maybe a different alternator was installed and has a built-in voltage regulator module? That's all I can think of.

Delco-Remy alternators can have an internal regulator.

Hi,
Yes, it is quite common to install an alternator with integrated regulator when the old one with external regulator quits.
