JD 350 engines

Post by gaspumpsam » Thu Oct 24, 2019 8:49 am

Do all JD 350 have Diesel engines ? If some have gas engines are they the same as 440ic gas engines? Are the engine clutches the same-gas and diesel?

Both gas and diesel were built in the straight 350's, I believe gas was discontinued by the B series. No relation to the 440 or any other previous engines. Most 350's do not have an actual engine clutch unless they are a non-reverser crawler, then they do.
I believe the clutches are the same gas and diesel, would have to do more research to verify, never sold a 350 clutch.

Thanks for info. I came across a 350 ( with a loader) has frozen steering clutches, can get pretty cheap. Has been sitting for a few years. Didn’t know if I could use some parts for my 440ic, or repair it and sell. Sounds like repair and sell.

Loader will most likely be a reverser crawler, so no engine clutch. Steering clutches are no problem, I have them on hand.
