My 450 C loader developed a leak in the bucket cylinder line on the right side near where the line turns to go down the cylinder. I got a small hairline crack which shoot hydraulic out when I curl the bucket up. I cannot fine a line anywhere. JD says the line is obsolete, part number AT31954. My machine is a 1982, The crack is about an inch long. Anyone have an idea how to repair or where to buy a new steel line?
Thanks much.

Silver solder to fix it. That is the process used to attach the swivels to the ends of the solid pipes. I don’t have a used resource.

Bruce has a good, commonly used fix. I've also seen brazing, TIG, or MIG used, depending on processes available and skill levels. As for getting a new tube, one way would be if you can find an industrial hydraulic shop that deals in process tubing such as used in mills, power plants, etc.; they should be able to get the right tubing and ends to duplicate your tube. Sometimes hoses have been used to replace tubes, routing can be a pain. Good luck with it.

People/companies that build industrial hydraulic power units would be able to duplicate the line. Where are you located?

Take it off, clean it up, bronze it or silver solder.
