Is loud gear whine normal in reverse for a 450B?
I bought this machine in pieces, I rebuilt everything but, this is
The first 450 I have ran so I am not sure what to expect.

My 350C was very loud when the reverser was in reverse....I removed the reverser and the bearing shimming was off a country mile .0014 when it should be .003 --- so around 10 thousands to loose. I put everything in spec and I must say it was WELL worth the effort.....MINT!!!

Oops! Think you meant 0.014" of play. 0.0014 would be 0.0016 too tight. Stay safe

Thanks Jim B--- I did the math twice and thought he was backwards on the numbers.
