450 Drive Clutches

Post by 450FiveString » Mon Apr 13, 2020 6:25 am

Got a question for the experts. My 450 straight seems to have a final drive problem. I had it apart recently (not the final drives) and adjusted the clutches per the manual. Got it back together and it seemed to do fairly well but the right drive seemed weak. If I get in a hard push the left track wturn ill spin but the right stops. The problem is getting worse. I have to pump the right brake lever turn right. There's also a power steering problem. The right brake lever works very easily but the left seems to have no power steering. No leaks on the cylinders. Could this have anything to do with the right track problem or does it sound like the right drive clutch needs replacing?

Track not turning under power is usually a bad clutch. I can't see that the track could have anything to do with it unless it is jamming on something, but you would hear that.
