450 steering brake adjustment
I went through the procedure step by step. I can now steer both directions. The problem is when I steer right it makes a rubbing type noise and loses power. Any suggestions?

Re: 450 steering brake adjustment
Sounds like maybe your steering clutch isn’t releasing and the brake is doing your steering while the clutch is still allowing power to the right (lugging the engine).
Maybe try pulling both steering levers back partway-
If both steering clutches disengage, you should stop moving.
If you start moving left- your right clutch is still engaged.
Just a thought.

Re: 450 steering brake adjustment
Thanks Darryl, I’m going to go through the whole procedure again. The one part I wasn’t clear on, was step 5 where it says adjust the the yolk on rod til the pin drops in.
The left side lever felt so much better before I started adjustments, I hope I can get back to that. It will have to wait til the weekend though.

Did you see my answer to your other post about the steering rod?
