350 winch

Post by scampr » Sat May 09, 2020 4:14 pm

Did the early 350s use any winch other then the 3315. I picked up 2 basket case ones today thinking they were 10s and would try to get one on my 440 but they wont be close. The mounts measure and look like it will line right up on my 350 B. Why do i get into these projects? lol

The 3310 was the manual winch on 350s. Both the 3310 and 3315 show up in the online 350 parts catalog.

Thanks i just figured that out myself. No tags on it but figured it out through the control unit. Does anyone have any thoughts on rebuilding it, like are they worth it or non stop money pits???? thanks.. going to try to dig up info for it now. If all else fails it would make a good rear bumper. :D

OK I confirmed both are 3310 winches. The local dealer said just use them for boat anchors since there isnt any parts for them. Does anyone agree with that or know where i might get some.. I am sure i would need seals of course and prob some bearings the worst would be the brake band ( although i think i got that covered) and clutches?? Any thoughts? Lavoy??? Would you have any access to them??? Thanks !!!!! Looking at them i am pretty set on the hard to get parts. I have 2 controllers and one acumulator so thats a help. I dont really want to give up on them.

I would not let that old iron go down. You have all the “hard-to-find stuff”. The seals, bearings are common to other equipment. Gaskets can be cut. You have the brake covered. Clutch disc are available. Definitely, go for it. It won’t be the cheapest part of your crawler, but it will be nice.
