Moving a 3325 winch from a 450C to a 550B

Good day.

We lost our 450C with 3325 winch in one of the fires in Oregon and we are working on a replacement machine. The Winch appears to be undamaged where as the rest of the 450C is history (radiator melted. majority of hoses gone, Most the seal in cylinders are gone, most of the wiring is gone etc).

We have found a 550B unit that does not have the pto shaft in it. We would need to put the pto shaft in it, but after that it looks like the 3325 should fit on the 550B without any other parts.

Looking at the parts pages on John Deere it looks like the pto for the 550B is different than for the 450C. Does anyone have insight into putting a pto shaft in a 550B that has never had one?

Other than that, the majority of the controls, mounting of the wench and fairlead look to be very similar between the machines.

Has anyone made this transfer between these two types of machines before and do any of you have any guidance?

PTO shaft slides right in like your 450.

Exact same mounting as the 450, so yes it will fit. Uses the same style control cable, might be longer. Control handle will work as well.

We have acquired a different machine (550G). We will most likely put the winch up for sale, as well as the brush rack from this machine.
